Membership Registration

Safety is paramount at Gateway A.B.C and with this in mind all participants must be registered with the club before they can benefit from cover under our Professional Indemnity Insurance policy. All members must ensure that their full name, date of birth and an appropriate mobile contact number/s is provided prior to attending any sessions. You may also wish to provide any medical information you deem important or necessary. This can be done by e-mailing us at or by contacting Steve on 07866 374732.

COVID-19 statement – Every effort is taken to ensure that you/your children are safe when visiting our club, however there is always a risk where group activity is concerned, particularly in surroundings such as a gym. Therefore we ask that if you have been in contact with a Covid-19 positive individual or have tested positive yourself, that you refrain from visiting the club and follow the government guidelines surrounding self-isolation. We provide anti-bacterial soap etc. for our members and encourage them to use this where necessary. Our equipment is cleaned regularly to ensure the best chance of avoiding any spread of the virus and we ask our members to use their common sense around social distancing rules.

Health & Safety – The clubs premises are cleaned regularly and every precaution is taken to ensure everyone's safety. We have a number of coaches who are First Aid trained and equipped to deliver basic first aid if and when required to do so, we have a fully stocked first aid kit on site as well as a mandatory defibrillator.

MEMBERSHIP - Membership to the club is free of charge, but we want our club to look like a club and therefore we ask that all members purchase at least one Gateway A.B.C branded training top from our club shop at Boxfit, to be worn at their respective sessions. Membership to the club entitles each member to use of the clubs facilities in line with the respective session they participate in.

Membership numbers to our Tuesday/Thursday sessions are restricted to ensure that our training supervision and safety standards can be maintained at all times.. We no longer operate a waiting list for our Tuesday/Thursday sessions, those wishing to join will be offered sessions in our beginners classes on Wednesday's and individuals who show ability and a desire to compete will progress to the Tuesday/Thursday sessions at the discretion of the coaches. TRIAL SESSIONS - We're happy for anyone to attend a free trial session on a Wednesday with a view to joining our club. Please email us or contact Steve on 07866 374732 to arrange.

EQUIPMENT & MINIMUM REQUIREMENT - As a minimum requirement we ask that every member has their own gloves, hand wraps and skipping rope prior to joining the club. Those involved in sparring will also require their own headguard. (Please note that it is not necessary for those attending a trial session to have any equipment, however it would help if they do). Due to the Covid pandemic we no longer provide gloves for general use. Subscription Fees

Beginners - Ladies (Monday) - Cost £5 per session.
Beginners - Juniors & Seniors (Wednesday) - Cost £20 per month.
Intermediate Juniors (Tuesday/Thursday) - Cost £25 per month.
Carded Boxers (Tuesday/Thursday) - Cost under 18's £25 per month, over 18's £30 per month.

Failure to pay your subs on time may lead to you losing your place at the club.
